This 8-week course is designed for beginners and anyone curious about theatrical improvisation. No acting or comedy experience is required.

Improvisation is about listening, reacting, and creating scenes together in the moment. Through games, exercises, and guided scene work, participants will learn the core principles of improv while building confidence, creativity, and stage presence.

The class takes place in a relaxed and supportive environment where the focus is on collaboration and exploration. There is no pressure to be funny. The goal is to learn the tools of improvisation and enjoy the creative process with others.

What you will learn

During the course we will explore the fundamental techniques of theatrical improvisation, including:
• Listening and reacting on stage
• The "Yes, and" principle
• Building characters and relationships
• Creating clear and engaging scenes
• Supporting your scene partner
• Working as an ensemble

Each session includes warm-ups, group exercises, improv games, and scene practice. Participants will receive personal feedback throughout the course.

Student showcase

The course includes a student showcase on May 17 at 8 PM where participants can perform short improv scenes in front of a friendly audience.
