Details
Everyone's welcome to the second session of Improv for Public Speaking!
Who it’s for: Absolutely everyone—total beginners, shy folks, scientists, founders, students, professionals. No “being funny” required.
What we’ll do:
- Warm start: Reset breath + quick focus drill (3 mins)
- Low-stakes games: “Yes-And Relay,” “Word-at-a-Time,” “Give/Take/Share” to train presence, listening, and recovery
- Blank-proofing: Short exercises to reboot when your mind goes blank (pause scripts, grounding cues, tag-in support)
- Debrief: Simple reflection so you can apply this to talks, interviews, classes, and meetings
Why it works: We don’t chase confidence; we build reps under friendly pressure. Improv trains recovery, not perfection.
Vibe: Supportive, practical, and playful. Not a performance. No one is put on the spot alone.
Ground Rules (please read):
- Arrive early: Doors close 5 minutes before start to protect flow. Late arrivals can’t enter.
- RSVP required: No RSVP = no entry. We hold your spot until start time, then release to waitlist.
- Phones away: No filming/recording. Be present.
- Kindness first: Zero tolerance for disrespect, coaching others without consent, or inappropriate content.
If even one person shows up, it's a workshop! :) If you come who knows... you might get free 1:1 or small-group coaching!
