GETTING TO GRIPS WITH IMPROV! - 5 eves - 6-8pm Exeter
Details
Another chance to join a proper course, where you can work with the same group of people, all getting to try things out at the same time, and grow the teamwork skills that help improvisers to really shine. Aimed at beginners though experienced are welcome too, as this continuity is really helpful.
This is a second course addressing the fundamentals of improv - there are two and it doesn't matter which you try first.
We will cover elements of listening skills, making the most of scene offers, 'object work', working as a team, creating characters, emotional commitment. And many classic improv games to explore all this.
This is five weeks, two hours a week, on a Monday evening 6pm to 8pm and the cost is £75 (I will send a link to participants). There are also regular Jam sessions planned for you to try out your skills in a different environment, with different people (usually on a Sunday evening).

"But I'm not funny" You don't need to be! I promise - just play and have a good time and people will love you for it. That is what makes people laugh.
"What if I make a mistake?" We love mistakes and we love to laugh at them. There is nothing better than making a mess with mates. All "mistakes" welcome!
"Will I fit in?" You don't need to be anything other than your sweet self.
If you are still unsure, drop me a line or give me a call on 07989 564660 with any questions.
Cathy Towers is leading this course and has been a player, performer and teacher for some years. She has a skill for adapting things to suit who is in the class, and being sensitive to individual needs. A safe pair of hands, setting an attentive environment to experiment in.
