Joe Bill’s 3-part Radical Duo Workshop, public SHOWCASE & Deconstruction follow-up workshop has the following dates:

Intensive 4h workshop -5th Aug. 7 to 11pm (EineWeltHaus)
Showcase - 4th Sept 6:30pm (Dizzy Daizy Stage)
Deconstruction W.S -5th Sept. 6-9pm (Emk-community rooms)

What to expect:
Weather you are attending as a duo or solo, Joe Bill will watch you play improv and decide based on your style, who you would work best with and give you direct feedback to what you should practice till he returns in September. Then you will be chucked into deep waters as you get stage time in front of an audience, and all the deconstruction of How you performed and what you can work on better, will be given to you the day after the show at the 3h workshop!

It is the best way to deep dive into duo-dynamics and skill sets that will further your improv level vastly! YES, its scary but also a fantastic opportunity to push yourself!

About Joe Bill
Joe Bill is widely regarded as one of the best teachers of Scenic, Longform, Duo Improvisation, and Improvised Storytelling in North America today. He is one of the founding members of Annoyance Theater Chicago where, for 12 years, he performed in and/or directed more than 60 different shows. He is the creator and host of Story Chain, a virtual (and now sometimes live!), 90-minute, international story sharing event that he developed in 2020 during the Pandemic. He was the Director of Corporate Training at iO Chicago for 15 years, first practiced improvisation in 1977 and studied and worked with Del Close from 1985 through the mid 90’s. He was a Guest Artist in Residence at The Second City Training Center & Conservatory where he taught intensives in Duo Improvisation and Improvisation for Actors for 10 years**.** Joe is ½ of the original improvised Monoscene (we used to call it “Real Time”), BASSPROV with Mark Sutton, and has been touring all over the world teaching, directing, and improvising with several other amazing Duo Partners like Patti Stiles (Our Play), Jill Bernard (SCRAM!), Stacey Hallal (Stacey & Joe, We Slept Together) Lee White (Paradigm), David Razowsky (Razowsky & Bill) and Heather Urquart (Blues Hammer), ALL in different, original formats and styles. Joe has taught and performed on every continent on earth, except for Antarctica which remains on his bucket list.

What is our purchasing, cancellation, and refund policy?
If you have already registered for this workshop, and you are no longer able to attend, our cancellation policy is as follows:
• If you change your RSVP on Meetup before the 31st July 2025- before midnight, you may replace your position with another replacement participant. You will get NO refund from us directly, but need to sort this out with them directly, and are also responsible for finding the replacement. Please understand that we need to pay our Superstars in advance as well as the rooms etc. Thank you for your understanding!
• Sorry, no refund if: You don't show up and don't change your RSVP on Meetup, you will get no refund.

Other cancellations and schedule changes
It's unlikely to happen, but we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to the sudden presenter illness, or other outside circumstances of the Teacher. If the event is cancelled, participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee. If the event is rescheduled, participants will have the option of attending the rescheduled event or receiving a full refund.
