In Munich, more and More Improvisers are getting into Duo's and the scene is growing steady! Why? Because when you reach that level as a Improviser, where you really want to GROW in "Huge jumps" and wish to get up on stage more then before, then this is the logical step one takes!
We believe that Duo-work is what trains you the best to test all your skills already learned to elevate you to your next level!

Workshop Details:
Have you ever been interested in starting up an Improv Duo but don't know how to begin? Have you already begun to form a Duo or are you in an existing Duo and interested in "finding your collective voice" and/or growing your sensibilities together to find your style of play, a format or 2 that you can discover together or an existing format that you would like to experiment with? This workshop is for you! You can come by yourself or with someone that you're interested in working with OR with an existing Duo partner. I will spend the first hour having you do scenes and getting a feel for who you are as improvisers, then I will invite people that would like to play together or are already in a Duo that plays together, and for the individuals that are not already paired up, I will pair you with someone else and tell you what I see as your potential as a Duo and then practice approaches to the first 5 minutes of each Duo show. It's in the first 5 minutes that you set the stage for the rest of the act that will follow and by playing and observing each other I will give feedback and advice that I've learned over the years, since I was part of the first touring Improv Duo in the U.S (BASSPROV) since 2001. I have many Duo partners all over the world and play in many different styles, come let me help you to get started!

About Joe Bill
Joe Bill is widely regarded as one of the best teachers of Scenic, Longform, Duo Improvisation, and Improvised Storytelling in North America today. He is one of the founding members of Annoyance Theater Chicago where, for 12 years, he performed in and/or directed more than 60 different shows. He is the creator and host of Story Chain, a virtual (and now sometimes live!), 90-minute, international story sharing event that he developed in 2020 during the Pandemic. He was the Director of Corporate Training at iO Chicago for 15 years, first practiced improvisation in 1977 and studied and worked with Del Close from 1985 through the mid 90’s. He was a Guest Artist in Residence at The Second City Training Center & Conservatory where he taught intensives in Duo Improvisation and Improvisation for Actors for 10 years**.** Joe is ½ of the original improvised Monoscene (we used to call it “Real Time”), BASSPROV with Mark Sutton, and has been touring all over the world teaching, directing, and improvising with several other amazing Duo Partners like Patti Stiles (Our Play), Jill Bernard (SCRAM!), Stacey Hallal (Stacey & Joe, We Slept Together) Lee White (Paradigm), David Razowsky (Razowsky & Bill) and Heather Urquart (Blues Hammer), ALL in different, original formats and styles. Joe has taught and performed on every continent on earth, except for Antarctica which remains on his bucket list.

What is our purchasing, cancellation, and refund policy?
You may replace your position with another participant, yet will get NO refund from us directly, but need to sort this out with the replacement directly, and are also responsible for finding the replacement. Please understand that we need to pay our Superstars in advance as well as the rooms etc. Thank you for your understanding!

Other cancellations and schedule changes
It's unlikely to happen, but we reserve the right to cancel or reschedule an event due to the sudden presenter illness, or other outside circumstances. If the event is cancelled, participants will receive a full refund of their registration fee.
