Divorce and separation support group

Separation & Divorce Support Group (Online)
This group is for adults who have experienced the breakdown of long-term relationships through separation or divorce or have had to create boundaries with family either after these changes or due to changing personal or family dynamics.
Separation can be one of life's most challenging experiences. Many people find it isolating, confusing, and difficult to discuss with friends, family or colleagues who may not fully understand what they are going through.
This group provides a respectful and supportive space to connect with others who have experienced relationship breakdown, share experiences, and hear different perspectives.
This group is suitable for people who:
✔ Have separated or divorced from a long-term partner or are navigating boundaries with family or other interpersonal relationships.
✔ Are navigating the emotional, practical, or personal impacts of separation.
✔ Would like peer support and discussion in a respectful group environment.
This group is NOT suitable for:
✘ People who are currently deciding whether to leave a relationship
✘ People seeking legal advice, legal strategy, or detailed information about family law processes
✘ People primarily seeking support for family violence, coercive control, or safety concerns
✘ People who have not experienced the breakdown of a long-term relationship
✘ Family members, friends, new partners, or other third parties affected by someone else's separation or divorce
✘ People currently experiencing a mental health crisis or requiring urgent emotional support
Please note that this is a peer support group, not group therapy.
*If you do not meet the group suitability criteria, please do not attend - you will be asked to leave if you proceed.*
There is a list of contact numbers you can call instead, which is posted on the main discussion page for this group.
The group is facilitated by a qualified counsellor and social worker to help maintain a safe, respectful, and constructive discussion.
If you are in crisis or need immediate support, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 or call 000 in an emergency.
I look forward to meeting you online.
Individual counselling sessions can be booked with me.
