UPDATE: Event is still on...

According to the weather report it looks like it will be a generally cloudy day around 70 degrees and the rain will hold off during the time scheduled for this event. Therefore I will NOT cancel the event.

Please be prepared for anything though, umbrella, rain coat, snow shoes, bikinis, etc. You know Chicagoland weather!

I do not have any reservations at any of the local restaurants because we all have different tastes. There are many restaurants to choose from when you want to dine with others in the group. We can talk about the choices when we are at the winery.

We have been to this wine cellar before and it is phenomenal!

"In June 2013, Geneva Wine Cellars and Tasting Room was opened by Al (the Helpful Wine Guy) Buchanan, offering value-driven, world-wide wines of all types by the bottle, glass and case. In addition to retail wine sales, Geneva Wine Cellars and Tasting Room will feature a wine bar, tastings, classes, an outdoor patio and occasional live entertainment. "If you like geography, science and people; if you like things that taste good, then you like wine,"

There is outdoor seating on the patio just remember this will be mid October in crisp Fall weather so dress accordingly.

After we enjoy the wine and beautiful Geneva surroundings we can shop at any one of the novelty shops on 3rd. St. The shopping area of this street is approximately 3 blocks long and includes the well known "The Little Traveler" shop. At this time Christmas won't be far away and you may find those one of kind gifts for your loved ones!
