As we head into a new year, many of us are looking for ways to support our health and well‑being. For some, that might mean becoming more active or working toward weight‑related goals; for others, it may mean focusing on habits that support healthy body function overall.

My goal for this group is to create a space where we can be more active together and make healthier choices around movement, stress management, and nutrition. You’ll see a mix of events some focused on physical activity and others centered on sharing resources like recipes, exercise ideas, and nutrition tips. You’re welcome to participate in whatever fits your needs and interests.

I’m organizing this first meeting so we can talk about what people want from the group and how we can make it meaningful for everyone. That conversation is tough to have in a discussion thread, so we’ll meet in person. I’ve scheduled one meeting in the southwest area and another next Saturday in the northwest area. Feel free to attend whichever works best for you or both, if you’d like. We’ll cover the same topics at each.

Please come ready to share ideas for activities and with a willingness to participate and support one another.

Over the past 20 months, I’ve made significant progress on my own health journey, but the last stretch has been challenging. I’m looking for genuine support, encouragement, and community. I’m serious about this, and I’m hoping to connect with people who are ready to show up and take action—no “talking the talk” without “walking the walk” (pun fully intended).
