Kick off summer with In-Theater Airsoft (ITA) at our Whidbey Island Open House on May 31, 2025! We’re a private airsoft club opening our new Whidbey Island field, and we’re on the lookout for new members—especially those ready to step up as cadre to lead factions in future epic battles.
Come play somewhere new!
Our Soft-Sim event takes place on a 2.5-acre, fast-paced field filled with diverse terrain and cover.
Team Breakdown:
Teams will generally be divided by camo type (armbands may be used depending on game mode):
• NATO: Generally U.S.-issued kit. (Fight for order with teamwork and strategy.)
• DEFOPS: Generally non-U.S.-issued kit. (Unleash tactical chaos and dominate the field.)
• Civilian Militia: Street clothes, hunting camo, inflatable dinosaur costume—whatever you want, just not military kit. (Join the ragtag rebels: disorganized assassins and outlaws stirring up trouble.)
Note: Your camo/kit determines your faction. If you’re with a team, try to coordinate your attire accordingly.
This high-energy event focuses on participation and goal-oriented mission objectives—perfect for intermediate players and vets alike. ITA hosts games across the PNW, delivering world-class airsoft adventures. Come find your faction, forge alliances, and experience the thrill of Soft-Sim with ITA.

Open House Hosted by ITA (In-Theater Airsoft)
In collaboration with T.A.A.G.S. Field, this is a full day of gameplay hosting airsoft teams from across Washington. For intermediate and experienced players, the event features three factions (NATO, DEFOPS, CIVMIL) in a societal collapse scenario.
Inspired by events like MilSim West, this Soft-Sim emphasizes immersive gameplay, multiple clear objectives, and accessibility, while maintaining a mission-driven live-action role-play structure for all players.

Event Day Protocol & Pre-Event Information
Registration:
Players must purchase tickets at intheaterairsoft.com/tickets. Bring a digital or printed copy of your confirmation email.

Player Packet:
All ticket holders will receive a player packet with game-day objectives and scenario details.
Waiver:
All players must sign the ITA liability waiver at check-in (available online at www.intheaterairsoft.com/waiver).
Players under 18 must have a parent/guardian signature with valid ID at check-in.

Schedule & Gameplay Protocol
Arrival Time:
Gates open at 8:00 AM. Please arrive by 8:15 AM to allow time for check-in, chrono, and gear setup.
Morning Session (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM):
• Games start at 9:00 AM with faction leaders rallying players.
• 2–3 missions, 45–60 minutes each (e.g., secure resources, capture points).
• 5–10 minute water breaks between missions.
Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 2:00 PM):
• Two-hour break for food and rest.
• Bring your own lunch/snacks (limited food available on-site).
• Optional Q&A session with staff for new players.
Afternoon Session (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM):
• 2–3 missions, 45–60 minutes each with escalating objectives (e.g., hold territory, final stronghold assault).
• Game Masters (GMs) and referees in high-visibility vests will monitor gameplay.
ENDEX:
Final mission concludes at 5:00 PM, followed by a brief debrief.
