PostgreSQL PG13 (Source -> Setup -> Service) BuildFest

INTRO
We live in exciting times. PostgreSQL dev-13 is under active development.

FOCUS
Compile, Setup, Configure the latest PostgreSQL on GNU/Linux.

GOAL
Source -> Setup -> Service

We start with the source code of PostgreSQL and get to Postmaster service instance.

PG13 BuildFest

A community intensive ONLINE meet where we all get together to build PostgreSQL.

We may be running our GNU/Linux system in Native, in VirtualBox or in hosted environment.

At Strikr Free Software Community, we use Arch Linux and we expect you to install that.

TOOLS

  • AUTO-* tools
  • GCC toolchain
  • LLVM-CLANG setup (optional)
  • make

BENEFIT

  • We work with the source code and tools and achieve our own installation
  • We will be using the PG13 code base for all the upcoming 14 PostgreSQL technology meets
  • Encourage community to take a close look at PostgreSQL.
