About us
Incremental is a community which brings together IT professionals. It is about sharing experiences and help others grow and join "the software movement".
Incremental Community is a large tech community that manages some large meetup groups in Bucharest: BJUG, Angular JS, IOT Bucharest, Mobile&Web Development, DevOps Bucharest, Bucharest Data Science and Internet & Cloud Computing.
Since there are a lot of new fields in tech that cannot be covered by the above mentioned meetup groups, we will host them in the future under this Incremental Community Tech Events umbrella :)

Speaker bio: Java developer turned Kotlin enthusiast after the AD/01 bootcamp, and loving every minute of it. He has built reliable services and APIs using Kotlin’s concise syntax and null-safe type system, combining pragmatic patterns from Java with modern Kotlin features. He cares about clean code, observability, and loves using coroutines to simplify async workloads while keeping code readable and testable.
Abstract: The AD/01 bootcamp turned everyday Java habits into Kotlin gains in a week. I saw immediate wins: fewer NPEs thanks to null-safety, leaner domain models with data classes, and readable async flows using coroutines - without sacrificing observability. Seamless Java interop meant we could adopt Kotlin safely and ship alongside existing services right away. The hands-on labs and expert feedback made the patterns stick and the benefits visible to the whole team. This is an in-person event and presentations will be conducted in English.
Looking forward to sharing insights and ideas with you!
