This group is dedicated to starting, running and growing your independent business/career.
We are independent businesspeople and there are over 38.2 million adult Americans of all ages, skills, and income levels. This includes: consultants, freelancers, contractors, solopreneurs, microbusiness owners, temporary or on-call workers—who regularly work independently to build businesses, develop their careers, pursue passions, and/or supplement their incomes. This group is to provide opportunities to learn from one-another.
As the economy regains its footing in 2021 and beyond, independent workers will return to strong growth as they did in the aftermath of the last recession.
Who are independents? We include:
• Millennials - who are growing into prominence as drivers of independent work and the largest cohort in the workforce.
• Baby Boomers - who continue to work well past traditional retirement age and show no signs of departing from the independent path.
• Gen Z - who are developing into one of the most entrepreneurial generations ever.
We offer free webinars, networking, facilitated discussions and more to build our community.
All sessions will be via Zoom until meeting in-person is possible again.

A pitch deck is a visual representation of an entrepreneur’s business plan. It is a presentation designed to inform and potentially persuade key decision makers to invest in your business.
It's typically a slide presentation that gives a short summary of your company, your business plan, and your startup vision. Additionally, if you are looking for investors - it’s how much you need and how they will make money.
A well designed pitch deck clearly conveys what your business does (value proposition), why and how you will be successful and how investors will benefit. This is done in an engaging and compelling way that excites your audience and spurs them to want to invest in you and your business.
Objectives:
By the end of the session, you'll be able to:
- Identify the 5 steps to building a pitch deck.
- Know how to create a clear, concise, compelling presentation of your business product, service or idea.
- How to identify your TAM, SAM and SOM.
- The 10 most important things to include in your deck.
