Regular In-person Meetup

This is our regular Offline meetup on the 2nd Thursday of each month. Contrary to the online meetup on the 4th Thursday, the default language is German. However, all visitors are welcome, and we gladly switch to English whenever it helps.

This format is mainly here for developers to show, and get feedback on, their projects. Working alone can be devastating to motivation and accountability, so why be alone?

The doors open at 7pm. Pizza arrives sometime before 8pm (provided free of charge). We do member presentations until everyone has shown and then move on to discussion topics such as:

• Current happenings in the industry
• Workflow and tool suggestions
• Upcoming game jams and events
• Calls for assistance with projects
• Collaboration ideas

We don't do introduction rounds anymore, instead just have people introduce themselves the first time they ask a question or present something. This gives the meetup more of a Show and Tell vibe, and less of a Social Mixer feeling.

That said, we are a friendly bunch and try to foster an environment where everyone can show their work no matter the state of completion, level of polish, ect.
