Hi, All Independent Movie Lovers
You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 20th of June. This meeting is at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin.
We will discuss the film:
The Piano Teacher (2001), directed by Michael Haneke and starring Isabelle Huppert. Original title La Pianiste. The Piano Teacher was runner-up at Cannes Film Festival 2001, while Benoît Magimel and Isabelle Huppert won Best Actor and Actress at Cannes for their performances in The Piano Teacher.
We will also discuss:
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974), directed by Joseph Sargent and starring Walter Matthau. Joseph Sargent had a long career in Film and TV. The Taking of Pelham One Two Three was his most widely known film. There was a remake in 1998. This is the 1974 movie. Check the date and director!
We will watch the movies independently, and meet for discussion on Friday the 20th of June, at 7 pm, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square.
The Piano Teacher will be showing at the Light House Cinema and the Irish Film Institute, Eustace Street, until Thursday the 12th of June. It is available on Amazon Prime Video.
The Taking of Pelham One Two Three is available for online rental on YouTube and on Apple TV.
