Hi, All Independent Movie Lovers
You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 4th of July. This meeting is at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin.
We will discuss the film:
The Ballad of Wallis Island (2025), directed by James Griffiths. This UK movie is set on an island off Wales, and premiered at the 2025 Sundance Festival.
We will also discuss:
Breathless (1960), directed by Jean-Luc Godard, and starring Jean-Paul Delmondo. French title: À bout de souffle. Breathless was a critical success, and has remained an influential movie. There have been several remakes and many movies of the same title. Check the date and director!
We will watch the movies independently, and meet for discussion on Friday the 4th of July, at 7 pm, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square.
The Ballad of Wallis Island will be showing at several Dublin cinemas, including the Irish Film Institute, Eustace Street, until Thursday the 26th of June, and the Light House Cinema until 25th June.
Breathless is available for online rental on YouTube, on Sky Store and on Apple TV.
