You are invited meet at 7 pm, on Friday the 19th of September. This meeting is at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square, Dublin.
We will discuss the film:
The Life of Chuck (2024), directed by Mike Flanagan, an American director, also known for screenwriting and editing.
We will also discuss:
The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976), directed by Nicolas Roeg and starring David Bowie. Nicolas Roeg was a cinematographer before he became a director. He directed Walkabout (1971), and Don't Look Now (1973). The iconic performance by David Bowie has given this movie something of cult status. The Man Who Fell to Earth has been remade as a TV movie, so check the date and the cast.
We will watch the movies independently, and meet for discussion on Friday the 19th of September, at 7 pm, at the Café on the ground floor of the Light House Cinema, Smithfield Square.
The Life of Chuck will be showing at the Savoy cinema, the Irish Film Institute, Eustace Street, and at the Light House Cinema, until Thursday the 11th of September.
The Man Who Fell to Earth (1976) is available for online rental on YouTube, on Sky Store, and on Apple TV.
