Our next film is a political drama from Turkey. Don't Let Them Shoot the Kite (1989) directed by Tunç Başaran is a tender story about a five-year-old boy who lives in prison with his detained mother. We will watch this film in a new 4k restoration.
This film will be screened in Turkish with English subtitles.
Where: The LanguaCulture Space: GLA.C135 (Dublin City University's Glasnevin campus, Henry Grattan building, first floor)
When: Friday 17th of October @ 5:40 pm (the film will start around 6:00 pm)
