Historically, breakfast for Lahories, have been an important meal of the day sort of a communal and ritualistic gatherings (food stalls/food streets) to fuel up for the day. Most popular dishes include Alu cholay (spiced potato&chickpeas), Halwa Puri (crispy fried bread served with sweet semolina), Nihari (slow-cooked beef or mutton stew), Paaye (trotters broth), Murgh Chanay (chicken&chickpeas). Served with Naan bread and/or Paratha. Last but not least, Chai (milk tea).
