Indy ADV tour - Indianapolis to LaFollette Tennessee.

This trip starts at noon on Friday 7/14/2017 and takes freeways 301 miles to Cove Lake State Park in Tennessee where we will camp for two nights. Saturday will be dedicated to exploring the off road trail system at nearby North Cumberland WMA’s OHV riding area. We will tear down the campsites, load up the bikes, and make the return ride on Sunday.

The estimated cost for the trip is only $87.50 plus food and fuel. This includes 2 nights camping and the required Tennessee OHV permit. We will purchase the permits Saturday morning. All campsites include electric. The campground has hot showers, and firewood is available. There are restaurants and shopping nearby.

Friday 7/14/2017 – Travel Day

Noon on Friday - Bikes meet up at rendezvous point. Lunch at Riverfront Taproom just south of I-74 on State road 9 in Shelbyville, IN.

1:00 on Friday – Kick stands up and ride begins. 301 miles with an estimated travel time 5.5 hours (including fuel stops).

6:30 Friday – Arrive at Cove Lake State park in Caryville TN. Pitch tents and settle in for the night.

Saturday 7/15/2017 – Off Road Day

9:00am Saturday – Kick stands up and ride east on 25W to nearby Jacksboro to purchase OHV permits at the local Walmart. Daily permit cost is $37.50

Once riders have the OHV permits, Saturday is dedicated to off road trail riding in the North Cumberland WMA Off Heighway Vehicle (OHV) Riding Area. Trails are marked by level of difficulty. There are a liberal amount of easy trails for those who are new to off road riding.

Saturday evening – Return to Cove Lake State Park for the night.

Sunday 7/16/2017 – Travel Day

9:00am Sunday – Tear down the campsites and pack up the bikes for the return trip to Indianapolis.
