Ever wondered just why cricket is such a huge phenomenon in India? How did a quintessentially classic and historic English game go on to capture the hearts and imaginations of over a billion Indians today?

It all started in the year 1983, when a hugely unfancied and underdog Indian team went on to shock everyone and win the cricket world cup in England. This movie tells the story of that famous team and how they defied the odds to put Indian cricket on the map.

Don't worry if you don't know Hindi, the movie will almost certainly have English subtitles!

The movie starts at 7:15 so will aim to meet just outside the cinema at Westfield Stratford at around 7pm. I'll aim to be there myself at 6pm in case any of you would like to meet up beforehand for chatting over some food/drinks in the food court nearby!
