As Summer is almost here, its time to plan out our annual summer picnic. This time our members in the facebook group - https://www.facebook.com/groups/625692057813725/ chose Jack Darling Park for 1st June.

Indians in Toronto & GTA is not just a facebook group. Its a family into its own. As Indians span out of their homeland into Canada and call Toronto & GTA their new home, they look for new families and friends who can guide them on the smallest things like where to find the right homemade spices to the bigger issues like employment and jobs.

This is what we do in our group, pay forward to the newcomers all the help and assistance we got from others who came before us. We try to instill a culture of helping each other and growing as a whole.

One of the best ways, in my opinion, to get to know people is to meet them in person. Most of us became virtual friends here, if you haven't had a chance to meet in person yet or if its been too long. Now is your chance!

Activities planned
1. Meet the Awesome Threesome Moderators - Ashish, Harjot and Sanjiv Sir
2. Ice breakers between the audience. Tell us your name, how long you have been here and how was your day?
3. Talks from some of our long-time members (or people who have been in Canada long to share success stories and tips)
4. Members will share job openings in their organization where they can refer
5. We have a request for Open Mic so members can share talents or talk about what they do.
