The Great Political Discussion (Online)

Details

No matter how apolitical you are, this period has everyone talking about politics at least in some form. We are approaching what many believe is the most important US election of all time, having wide ranging ramifications on both the US and the rest of the world.

So this definitely qualifies for a discussion! Let's talk about and discuss some important political topics such as:

-What is the role of voting, does it really matter?
-Are debates important? Do you think peoples' mind were changed?
-Are you satisfied by the way the pandemic was handled by the government?
-Who do you support (if you are comfortable sharing) and why?
-Who do you think will win and why? And what happens next?
-Where does being an Indian in America fit into all of this? (If you are not an Indian you don't need to worry about this one)

Important: Most people guard political beliefs extremely firmly. You have a better chance of winning the nobel prize than of converting a democrat to a republican (or vice versa) by means of one discussion! So by all means state your point of view, but do not try to enforce it or be frustrated if the other person does not 'get it'. Let us have an engaging but peaceful discussion!

P.S: Zoom link will be shared on the day of the event.
