What we’re about
When you land in Canada, it’s exciting… but let’s be real, it’s not easy. New culture, new systems, new everything. Sometimes it feels like you’re here… but not really “home.”
We started Sangam because we’ve been where you are.
We’ve seen the tired eyes on the train after a double shift.
We’ve heard the “I just want to go back… but I can’t go empty-handed.”
We know what it’s like to be far from family, figuring out immigration rules, rent, jobs, and life — all at once.
This is your space.
A place to breathe. To belong. To figure things out together.
If you’re an Indian student in Toronto or across Canada, here’s what we do:
- Help you find your footing – part-time job leads, resume and interview coaching, and workplace culture tips.
- Make immigration less confusing – guidance on study permits, PR pathways, work eligibility, and what to do when applications get stuck.
- Find better housing options – advice and leads on affordable student housing in Toronto and nearby cities.
- Keep you connected – cultural events, Indian festivals, food meetups, and friendship circles.
- Look after your well-being – meditation, breathwork, stress tools, and honest conversations about mental health.
We understand the struggles:
- Job insecurity and lack of Canadian work experience
- Affordable housing shortages
- Language barriers and communication challenges
- Feeling isolated and disconnected from Indian culture
Navigating the Canadian education system while keeping visa status safe
This is not just about “getting by.”
It’s about growing in confidence, skills, and community.
In Sangam, you’ll meet people who get you. Who speak your language. Who will stand beside you when things get heavy… and cheer you on when you win.
If you’re new, struggling, or just looking for a place that feels like home, join us.
