The Digital Farm Wallet: Creating Trusted Data Sharing for Agriculture

Details

There are roughly 50,000 farmers in New Zealand. Every one of them needs to fill out, keep, and be able to share a variety of kinds of paperwork from the origin of their livestock or produce, to the emissions of their farm, to several other key aspects of their products. Verifiable credentials provide a huge service to this industry by allowing for easy digital storage, simple sharing with the touch of a button, and removing the need to fill out the same information multiple times across different forms, reducing the total amount of paperwork to be filled out

Klaeri Schelhowe, an executive director at the Trust Alliance New Zealand joins us to share about her efforts to implement this technology for farmers across New Zealand. Come learn about:

  • The Trust Alliance New Zealand's strategy for implementation
  • What the farmers think and their experience with the technology
  • Where the project is today and where they are going

Come ask questions, share your thoughts, and learn about this exciting project!
