"February in Bloom": a colourful concert by Dani Valentino (BER/UA; jazz, fusion) & MAVKA (BER/UA; vocal, electronic).
Join us on February 21 for a heartfelt performance at Hotel Continental - Art Space in Exile in an uplifting collaboration with Dnipro & Kruchi. This concert showcases new music honoring the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity and its triumph over an emerging dictatorship.
🎷 Dani Valentino brings a bold jazz quartet featuring electric instruments, synths, and drum machines. While acknowledging the heavy cost and the invasion that followed just days after the Revolution, the composer sought to capture the fleeting joy and sense of miracle that filled the air when the revolution succeeded.

🧚🏻♂️ At the same time MAVKA (a «fairy» from Ukrainian mythology, believed to dwell in forests, lakes, or rivers), brings to the stage a blend of electronic sounds, trance, noise, and ambient with elements of traditional Ukrainian singing.
