The main purpose of this group is for anyone LA-based involved in the creation of indie games to connect in person (not just online.) The atmosphere is laid back - mostly, we just hang out, chat, drink, and occasionally showcase games. True learning is social, and true connections can and have been made in this Meetup group, and have led to collaborations on cool indie games. 
We have one monthly Meetup in Highland Park at Verdugo Bar (usually the 1st Monday of the month). We also occasionally collaborate with other groups to inform our members of workshops (such as the Masters of Game Design series at NY Film Academy in Burbank) and game jams. However, there are always game events happening around LA, and we would always welcome information about them to inform our members.
We are also looking for indie dev creators to organize events on the West side! Please message Jessica (the group organizer) if you would be interested in setting up events in Santa Monica, Venice, or anywhere in or West of Culver City. All the organizers right now are on the East side, but a lot of members have expressed interest in meeting on the West side.
