Jungle Paradise (2016, 34 min, Mock Documentary), by Dave K. Moktoi – Combining elements of personal dissertation, anthropology, and mockumentary, a comedian-turned-reporter revisits his homeland of Cameroon (aka “Mini-Africa”) to humorously explore the competition between Western culture and African culture. The comedic mockumentary uses humor, self-mockery, and sarcasm to laugh at Western portrayals of Africa and provide a more balanced picture.
