Indie Film Making

This is a hands-on collective for people in the Triangle who want to learn filmmaking by actually making films — not by talking about them. Every few months we team up to write, shoot, and edit a short film with a real release date, and every member contributes a craft: directing, cinematography, sound, editing, production design, acting, music, or producing.

No spectators. Everyone here either brings a skill or is here to learn one by doing it on a real set, alongside people figuring it out with you. If you want to watch films, this isn’t the group. If you want to make one, you’re in the right place.

Total beginners are welcome — genuinely, no experience needed, just commitment. So are working pros looking for a sandbox to experiment in. What we share is the willingness to show up and finish something.
