Indie Hackers Cape Town #50
Details
28 May
For the first time, Indie Hackers Cape Town is landing at Beerworks @ The Doppery.
New space. Same energy.
A room full of people building real things. Startups, side projects, experiments, products, agencies, communities. The stuff that exists after the LinkedIn post ends.
No panels. No pitch theatre. No “growth hackers”.
Just founders, engineers, designers, operators, and curious people trading notes on what’s working, what’s breaking, and what they’re trying next.
If you’ve been building quietly in Cape Town, this is probably your crowd.
WHAT & WHY
Indie Hackers is a room for people who are actually building profitable things on the internet
Side projects, bootstrapped businesses, experiments, early traction, ugly MVPs, half-working systems that still ship — that’s the energy. We come together to trade real stories, surface useful friction, and talk about the things that actually move the needle.
This isn’t small talk or motivational fluff. The conversations go deep because the people in the room are in it — building, learning, breaking, fixing. The goal is simple: sharper thinking, better decisions, and fewer mistakes made alone.
If you’re here to learn, share honestly, and connect with people who care more about shipping than posturing, you’ll fit right in.
When we say “makers”, we mean it broadly and intentionally. Developers, designers, marketers, operators, finance people, lawyers, students — anyone contributing to the messy reality of building businesses. Titles don’t matter. Output does.
⸻
FORMAT
We run a Lean Coffee format because it respects time and intelligence.
You suggest the topics. The room votes. The conversations follow the signal.
No panels. No pitches. No predetermined agenda. Just focused discussions shaped by what the people in the room actually care about that night.
Come curious. Come opinionated. Come ready to contribute. And if you’ve brought someone before, bring them again.
