Indie Hackers Cape Town #52
Details
WHAT & WHY
The Room. Indie Hackers is a meetup for people building tech based businesses that make money (or are trying to). Whether you're testing an early experiment, scaling a bootstrapped/funded startup or nursing a half-working system that still ships. We care about shipping, not posturing.
Connection, Not Transactional Networking. Standard networking is very transactional: you trade elevator pitches and hope for overlap. We skip the small talk and dive straight into the real stuff. Only the most relevant topics. You're here to build genuine camaraderie with people who understand the loneliness and friction of building and marketing.
The Format. We don't do rigid keynotes or passive listening. We use a lean coffee format, meaning the agenda is built collaboratively by the room on the night. We only discuss the most relevant, pressing challenges you bring to the table.
The Goal. Sharper thinking, better decisions, and fewer mistakes made alone. Building genuine friendships. If you're curious, keen to learn, and willing to share honestly, you’ll fit right in.

Until recently, we’ve covered the costs ourselves/sponsors. This wasn't sustainable if we want to keep growing the community and improving the experience. But if the ticket price is a barrier, or you’d like to sponsor send Adrian a DM on LinkedIn. We don’t want cost to stop good people from being in the room.
