Folks with mobility issues please meet at the top of York steps (you can access the area through Majors Hill park) for the most accessible protest route.

Edit 2: Wear orange and/or black if you have it in your wardrobe. Also feel free to wear a halloween costume. We will have a limited number of extra protest signs for folks to borrow.

NO TYRANT KINGS is the second international day of action and mass mobilization in response to increasing authoritarian excesses and corruption from Trump and his allies.

We’ve watched as they’ve threatened Canada's sovereignty, disrupted international trade, detained tens of thousands of people (including Canadians) in ICE concentration camps, cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, and defied the courts. They’ve done this all while continuing to serve and enrich their billionaire allies.

On Saturday, October 18, we’re taking to the streets internationally. We’re not gathering to feed his ego. We’re building a movement that leaves him behind. Join us for our second No Tyrants / No Kings demonstration.

On October 18— Indivisible Ottawa is joining millions of people around the world to say NO to Donald Trump and authoritarianism. Fascism is a serious threat not just in the US, but worldwide. It is imperative that we make a stand against fascism in our nation's capital.

On October 18, Indivisible Ottawa is STANDING UP and saying NO TYRANT KINGS in solidarity with Indivisible Abroad, Democrats Abroad, concerned Canadians and allies around the world. The flag doesn’t belong to Donald Trump. On 490 Sussex, we’re showing up everywhere he isn’t—to say no tyrants, no dictators, no oligarchs.

A core principle behind all No Kings/No Tyrants events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
