Hike at Prince William Forest Park

Another hike at Prince William Forest Park! I want to aim for the 4.4 mile High Meadows and Taylor Farm loop from parking lot H. I like that loop, it's not super crowded and can be cut short by walking along a road if 3 miles is more your speed, or if we've taken too long the first half of the hike. I found some good mushrooms on that loop last fall, and I'm interested to learn what summer stuff it has to offer.

I'm a slow hiker. I stop to look at birds, bugs, and mushrooms. I play in streams and identify plants. Occasionally, I'll look for geocaches if someone is interested.

I'm hoping for some rain in the days before the hike to help pop off some mushrooms to look at and learn! Maybe if we see some early pawpaws, they could be starting to ripen, but we won't know til we're out there!
