Drop-in Intermediate/Recreational Volleyball

Good day everyone,

This volleyball is a drop-in intermediate and recreational event. we have two courts, so we can accommodate both levels.

We are a fun group who combine music and volleyball. Our volleyball nights are fun and inviting, with volleyball being the central focus of everything we do. We believe that volleyball is a way for people to connect with each other, create long-lasting relationships, network and get a solid workout at the same time.

Fees & Dates:

Tuesday, April 9th, 2024

The fee is $10 payable by e-transfer to odvvolleyball@gmail.com. Pre-registration is required. You will be added to a team once we receive your payment.

Time & Location:

Henry Munro Middle School

2105 Kender Ave, Gloucester, ON K1J 6J7

Tuesdays 8:00pm- 10:00pm.

You are responsible for bringing knee pads, knee braces, sports tape, etc

About the Game:

It is highly recommended to play position rotation. 5:1 or 4:2. if you are playing intermediate level. recreational level is for fun.

The games are played with three touches - to pass, set, and spike.

It is a round-robin style count to 25 count by 2.

There are no referees. the team will call their own fouls.

Co-Ed net heights will be used for each team.

The game is played mostly by adults, but sometimes talented youth players can join too if they wish. The minimum age requirement is 17 years old.

Fouls:

Touching the net when making a play on the ball

Serving from inside the court form the line.

Lifting the ball

Making contact with the ball twice in a row (a block doesn’t count as contact)

Making more than three contacts with the ball (a block doesn’t count as contact)

Having a foot completely into the opponent’s court.

Fouls will be more serious if you play intermediate level.

Game will be canceled if there are not enough players signed.
