Hickory Ridge on and off trail explore

Details
Continuing my hikes and backpacking trips throughout the Hickory Ridge area this year, we will be hiking both on and off trail. Come experience some of the more remote valleys and ridges throughout the area, places most never see.
Please wear pants, and long sleeves are recommended. A good wide hat and head net might also be a good idea. Most also bring hiking poles or a good stick for balance, as some of the hills are pretty steep. Pace off trail is usually slow, and we don't mind taking plenty of breaks! So bring plenty of fluids and snacks.
The route will be anywhere from 8 to 12 miles. And with nothing set in stone, we can just go slow and make sure everyone is comfortable. Expect some briars, creek crossings, steeper climbs and more. We'll hike mostly off trail to start, and use trails to get back to the parking area. That's located a couple miles west of the Maumee Scout camp, right on a sharp turn.
