Ouabache State Park

Hosted By
Fair P.

Details
"Ouabache" is the French version of "Wabash", but it's more than a name - it's a nod to the deep roots between the early settlers, the region, and the State River.
There is a ranch of the iconic American Bison in this park. You can watch them eye to eye at close range.
We'll hike 6 miles on an easy to moderate trail.
Meet by the fire tower. (40.7231, -85.1070) (see directions)
- there's a $7/car gate fee
Directions:
I-69 north, take exit 278 onto SR-5 north, turn right onto SR-124 east, turn right onto SR-201 south, enter the park, follow the main road to a T, make a left turn and you'll see the steel fire tower (40.7231, -85.1070) on your left
