PURPOSE: train with friends!!
Whether training for mountains, marathons, or markets, come take advantage of a consistent, *measured* environment (marked every half-mile) in which to gauge your trail-covering abilities week to week, w/r/t heart rate, pace per mile, overall time, etc.
► Gain intimate route knowledge, learning its corners and hills and rocks and stumps with a focused effort on, "Can I do better? Can I go faster? If I halve my effort, can I (easily) go twice as far? If I add a full pack's weight, how much will it affect breathing, heart rate, elapsed time?
★ The full 4.5 miles of Lawrence Creek Trail is cut to 2.75+1.75, with a .75 escape route, providing accurate lengths of 2.5, 3.5, 4.5, 5.5 miles, at least.

RAIN OR SHINE OR HEAT OR WHATEVs:
These are all-weather events: we take the trail as it comes. However, when the weather gives us GOOEY TRAILS, we will use a (hardened) alternative LC route to minimize our trail impacts when necessary.

FACILITIES:
There are neither restrooms nor potable water at this trailhead, though they are within a half-mile.

PARK ENTRY FEE/PERMIT REQUIRED. If you'd like to arrange a carpool from near the gate, saving the $7 State Park fee, post a Comment.

POST-EFFORT REFUELLING:
Refuelling is just *so* wonderful!!
There is an IHOP just southeast of 56th & Post, and just west on 56th, La Hacienda opens at 11am. As well, I imagine a group-sized skillet and stove tailgate would serve well for a delightful Park breakfast, as the weather allows. ("Yayyy!")

RSVPs: Keep yours up-to-date, always.
