Tricking out Postman, The API Development Environment

If you're building modern software applications then chances are that you're working with at least one HTTP-based API. It's also likely that you also know how painful testing or experimenting with those APIs can be. Everything is easier when you have the right tools and working with APIs is no exception. Some tools like cURL simplify the task but Postman completely changes the experience by wrapping it in a robust API development environment. We'll explore how Postman simplifies creating, issuing, and managing requests, managing cookies, writing and publishing documentation, maintaining and using variables, and sharing authentication/authorization data across all requests in a collection. We'll even briefly dip our toes into Postman's rich scripting capabilities which let us automate a variety of tasks, notably capturing data from responses as environment variables!
