Indy Writers Bloc

Let’s face it–writing is easy to skip, especially when everyday life horns in. Then there’s the lonely feeling of spending hours inside your head plotting, drafting, and revising. Joining a writing group could help with both these issues, but perhaps you feel intimidated by the thought of forced sharing, critiquing, and feedback. This is where Indy Writers Bloc comes in.

Indy Writers Bloc is a welcoming community of like-minded writers from multiple genres and forms. Everyone is welcome to join, whether you are a poet, into sci-fi, or enjoy research. We are each other’s writing accountability partners. Plus, we do not require critiques or sharing works. Our group is as low-key as it gets!

Here’s how it works. We start with about a half hour of casual conversation with fellow writers about writing…or not about writing. Then, when the timer starts, we put our heads down and write silently for an hour. When the timer goes off, we finish by saying our good-byes or continuing our banter.

Our group is free to join and to attend. Attendance is not required. Come to one of our local events–we’d love to meet you!
