Clean Slate Technology Group has been exploring what happens when you treat Kiro not just as a coding assistant, but as a platform for consulting delivery and engineering governance. We built a framework that uses a custom MCP server to distribute live steering, skills and agent files across multiple repos and multiple clients which automatically detect the right context from the engineer's working directory. We codified the full TOGAF ADM methodology as a Kiro skill for application portfolio assessments, and built a branded report pipeline that generates PDF reports and PowerPoint decks directly from AI prompts. We run IT merger, acquisition and divestiture assessments through a 20-domain checklist that drives structured discovery, gap analysis, and TSA exit planning. And we generate AWS architecture diagrams with Mermaid and registered AWS icon packs. This talk covers the non-obvious ways we're using Kiro and why its unique combination of specs, steering files, hooks, custom subagents with orchestration, and the AWS MCP ecosystem made it the right foundation for multi-client operations at scale.
