Title: When Pentesting Meets Appsec
Abstract:
Curtis talks about his experience discovering vulnerabilities in common third party applications as well as applications written by information/cyber security product and service providers identified during the security due diligence phases of integration and implementation.
Bio:Curtis is a Managing Security Consultant with Pondurance and has over twenty years of experience in various roles within information technology. At the early age of twelve, Curtis solely developed his first web site and computer programs used by his community. His vast knowledge of IT gained while serving as a Web Developer, Mobile Application Developer, System Administrator, and Database Administrator provided great context to his most recent security experience as a Sr. Security Analyst and Digital Forensics Incident Responder for Capgemini Government Services. In this role, Curtis provided support to more than 15,000 Rolls-Royce Americas’ users across eight countries. He routinely analyzed and mitigated Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) compromises involving data exfiltration, snort signature creation, dynamic malware analysis, and memory analysis.
Information Security is Curtis’ passion, and he regularly spends his free time researching new areas and keeping ahead of the curve. He enjoys keeping other less technical friends and family members safe in their digital lives and maintains a Twitter profile to help others. Developing Snort signatures is Curtis’ most recent interest and is a fun way for him to also give back to the community.
