Indy.rs - Actix Actor Framework

TALK --
Nathan Hawkins will be giving a talk about the Actix, an actor framework written in Rust. The talk will be an overview of Actix and Actors, touching briefly on the extremely fast* actix-web framework, before stepping through an application calling a C library to read data from flat database files on disk. Crates that will be mentioned include `actix`, `axtix-web`, `mtbl`, `slog`, and `tera`.

Nathan has been programming for over 30 years doing a little bit of everything from assembly to Haskell, operating systems to distributed systems at Amazon. These days he is a married father of 2 and a Senior Software Engineer at Dell Secureworks.
