GDG Cebu Mapup 1 - (Talisay City, Minglanilla, Naga, San Fernando, Carcar)

A Google MapUp is an event in which a group of people get together to map their community, often a specific area such as a town or city. Avid users use Google Map Maker to add and edit roads, streams, schools, and more. Following a review for accuracy, new additions and edits are incorporated in Google Maps for millions of people around the world to see and use.

To assist the small and medium enterprise mapping of the province of Bohol and Cebu, Google Developers Group (GDG) Cebu (www.gdgcebu.org) in partnership with Google Business Group (GBG) Cebu, will organize series of mapups for the month of October and November 2014. This season, we are planning to stage Photowalks and Geowalks to cover more areas and make areas in Cebu and Bohol visible in the web.

For this mapup, our target will be mapping the businesses and landmarks fromTalisay City, Minglanilla, Naga, San Fernando and Carcar.

WHAT TO BRING?

Participating mappers should bring:

• Laptops

• Power Supply wires

• WIFI Dongles

• Ballpens and Note books.

Mappers will receive cool swags from the organizers.
