Video represented 70% of all internet traffic in 2015. This year, it is forecasted that it will reach 82% - that is roughly 2 zettabytes!
How does one even implement video on demand? What's the difference between bitrate and resolution, or HLS, DASH and ABR? And how much do you really know about video encoding, transcoding, and just-in-time packaging?
There's a lot to unpack if you dive into the world of streaming or on-demand video and in this talk, I'll show you the ropes and explain the foundations of video manipulation and distribution.
