Infinum Talks: Infinum JS Talks Turn 18

Details

Infinum JS Talks are turning 18!
Come around for a quick celebration of this milestone and a bit of nostalgia. We will also reveal our master plan for future talks in this great community! As for the talks themselves, we have prepared two topics for you.

GOING TO DENO FROM NODE
Roberto Kedmenec, Tria
The main theme of this talk will be to present to you how it actually feels to transition or at least start a project in Deno. We will be covering the basics of Deno and after that, we will develop a simple web server both in Node and in Deno. After deploying both of those services and running k6 load tests against them we will see how they actually perform in similar scenarios. In the end, we will go through the cons and pros of using Deno and hopefully spark some interest in you to try it out.

About Roberto
Young and ambitious, Roberto has been active in Croatian JS community for a while now. You might remember him from one of the previous Infinum JS Talks where he talked about Yarn Workspaces. We are following Roberto's career with great interest and can not wait to hear him speak!

A11Y - FORMS
Kristian Djaković, Infinum
Nowadays, around 15% of the population lives with some disability and forms are one thing that is widely used but most of them aren't built well. In this short presentation, I will show you a few tips and tricks to make your form more accessible to everyone.

About Kristian
Kristian is 21 years old and has been working at Infinum for over a year now as a React/Next.js developer. During that time he started paying more and more attention to accessibility on the web (it is more fun than you think). In his free time, he likes watching series and movies.
