With everyone in a constant state of attention deficit, it is becoming harder and harder to create awareness in the developer community, especially at scale and within a now-constrained budget. So with that in mind, we conducted a few creative experiments to see what would happen. In this talk, we walk through one of those experiments.

7.00 PM Talk 2: "Data Privacy: We're Doing It All Wrong" ( Sean Falconer, Head of Developer Relations & Product Marketing @ Skyflow)

As an industry we continually fail to properly protect our customers' data. Barely a week goes by without a data breach. We've scaled our systems to millions or even billions of users, but data security has remained an afterthought. Companies reactively attempt to plug security holes in broken systems but simply putting a bandaid on a broken system doesn't make it less broken.
We need to drastically and fundamentally rethink our approach to data privacy.
In this talk, I'll share a radically different approach, one based on first principles, an architectural approach to privacy via the data privacy vault.
