Welcome to this ISKO UK Meetup, one of a series in 2020. It will be a hands-on Data Visualisation session with Tara McDarby pitched at newcomers to the subject. This will provide an introduction to the subject, including the ability to follow Tara's actions yourself; software links are below for you to download the relevant tools.
We'll be looking at how to use machine learning to produce data visualizations from textual data. The dataset we will use is from British Library Labs and can be downloaded here:

Using Python, the talk will cover:
- How to set up a Jupyter notebook
- How to import tools and libraries into Python
- Using classifiers for text classification
- Using specialist tools to produce data visualizations.
