AI & Cybersecurity meetup

Details
Another Information security meetup in Brno, this time about topics relevant to AI.
=== TALKS ===
1) How AI helps fraudsters generate phishing campaigns and fake IDs (Lukáš Jakubíček, Lead Principal Solution Consultant at ThreatMark)
Lukáš will delve into how fraudsters use AI to enhance their tactics, from generating persuasive phishing emails to designing sophisticated phishing sites that evade most security measures. In the second part of his talk, he will demonstrate AI-powered online tools that create highly realistic identification documents, facilitating the establishment of money mule accounts—one of the most pressing cyber threats in today's digital landscape.
2) From Data to Defense: AI’s Role in Threat Intelligence (Martin Stehlík, Threat Intelligence Lead Whalebone)
This talk explores how machine learning and automation enhance threat intelligence, focusing on real-world applications such as DGA detection, DNS tunneling analysis, or phishing threat detection. We’ll discuss how AI-driven solutions like Whalewatch, Virtual Analyst, and Passive DNS Bot process vast amounts of DNS logs and related data and metadata to identify threats proactively and contribute to detection accuracy. Additionally, we’ll introduce our ongoing work in Domain Intelligence, leveraging AI for advanced reputation scoring and anomaly detection.

3) The case for AI in Cybersecurity (Anton Martinsson, PhD, CEO THEA Cybersecurity)
This talk explores the role of AI in cybersecurity, focusing on large language models, custom AI solutions, and real-time threat intelligence. It examines how AI scales analysis efforts and enhances zero-day threat detection. The session also discusses emerging trends in AI architecture and access models, highlighting their impact on cybersecurity.
4) LARPing APTs: Utilizing AI to Emulate an Adversary (Jakub Čegan, Head of CyberRangeCZ)
This talk explores how to emulate Sandworm (APT44) and other APT groups by using commonly available AI tools like LLM models for the needs of highly realistic cybersecurity exercises. By simulating currently known adversary tactics, we can train defenders against real-world threats, improve defensive strategies, and make cyber training engaging.
Michal Havelka will host this event.
