Title: Combining Machine Learning and Operations Research to Benefit Supply Chain Systems

Abstract: Businesses across all industries are going through some of the most uncertain times in history. With growing customer expectations, a balance must be achieved given the increasing operational complexities and lack of visibility. Despite these challenges, there are opportunities to successfully leverage a combination of operations research and machine learning techniques to successfully address the ever-changing problems related to the supply chain. In this talk, we will discuss a few examples to help equip you with fresh ideas to address these challenges within your organization.

Speaker Bio: Chandu Bhujang, Senior Data Scientist at T-Mobile

Chandu Bhujang is a senior Data Scientist at T-Mobile, Innovative Data Solutions (IDS). He has master’s degree in Statistics (specialization in OR) from Karnataka university, India and MS in Data Science from Northwestern University, Chicago, IL.

Before joining T-Mobile, Chandu Bhujang has worked as a Statistician across different industries Market Research, Clinical Research and Aerospace.

As a Sr. Data Scientist, Chandu is part of a team which utilizes advanced analytics to investigate statistical opportunities to drive business growth in the form of increasing revenue, decreasing operational costs, and increasing free cash flow by partnering with other teams across T-Mobile. One of the focus areas of Chandu involved in support and development of state-of-the art ML and OR models to drive operational costs in Forward and Backward supply chain logistics.
