Sydney Infrastructure Coders Meetup event at Rokt offices on Elizabeth Street in Surry Hills, a 2 minute walk from Central Station & the Light Rail.

Doors open 6pm aiming for a 630pm start,

Speaker 1:

Andrew Ritchie from Foxtel Group

"From Zero to Almost Hero with Github Actions: Tales of Automation and Deployment Woes"

A summary of lessons learnt using GitHub Actions over the past year. Common pitfalls, expediting feedback loops, debugging, private custom actions, benefits of mono repos, etc.

Speaker 2:

Mahmudul Islam from Rokt

"Self-Service Kubernetes Configuration at Rokt"

Managing many microservices on Kubernetes clusters can easily get out of control especially when it’s self-service. In this talk, we will discuss how adding guardrails and the ability to approve configuration changes automatically has helped Rokt to increase confidence and developer velocity.

There will be a $5 donation attendance contribution that will go to a charity of choice (Last time out we donated $240 to Variety's Future Kids program) This helps to manage the attendee numbers & make sure we have minimal no shows and no-one on the waiting list. **If you are uncomfortable with PayPal please msg me to organise bank transfer before the event**

Looking forward to seeing you all at the event!
