Infrastructure Security in the post-Snowden era / Assumption of Breach

Details

Trying to build a perfect security perimeter is an endless, thankless and constant battle. Given enough time, eventually, everything fails. In the Cloud world, the new security model is best described as "assumption of breach". If you assume that every single thing is already compromised by one or more unknown third parties, you change your way of thinking. During this Lunch & Learn, Cascadeo CTO, Jared Reimer, and Josh Sordelet, Global Solutions Architect from Equinix, will discuss the value of securing individual microservices and high-value data, limiting blast radius, restricting human access to production systems, best practices around encryption-at-rest and encryption-in-flight, etc. We will discuss why you should automate early and often, replace deployments proactively rather than reactively, and keep the humans out of production environments whenever possible.
